Just when you thought James Franco had done it all he acts, he writes, he paints but now he's adding producer to his growing lists of hobbies. His latest project is the documentary, The Director, and its a behind the scene look at Gucci and centers around its creative director, Frida Giannini.
Franco's good friend and filmmaker Christina Voros heads the project and opens up to the Huffington Post, seen here, where she explains her complete misunderstanding of the fashion world up until this point.
With the veil lifted she now understands how many little factors go into the ads you see in every magazine and on every billboard. She also praises Frida and her team, since they've been working together so long there is this silent understanding with everyone that makes everything work seamlessly and keeps a family atmosphere throughout the office.
I am definitely excited to see this, just because Frida Giannini is extremely media shy and Gucci is not one of the major fashion brands to open their doors that often. This will be a great behind the scene peek that all the fashion obsessed will be flocking to theaters to see.
The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 21st
