Hi Everyone, my name is Candice, and I am obsessed with bags (deep sigh). It feels good to own up to your vices and I'm not embarrassed and the only thing hurt is my bank account. But when you have a deep obsession/love for something it can't be denied. I mean in college they use to call me the bag lady, because every week I would walk around campus with another oversize tote for my books, a cross body for a casual day, or a clutch for a night out.
The only thing about vices is they get worse over time and when it comes to bags it became overwhelming. I am also now very, very picky about what I use. I want classic shapes, that are sturdy as well as trendy, especially living in NYC. So last fall I switched it up, normally I'm a fan of big bags but I got tired of standing in front of my building for several minutes normally in the cold looking for my keys.
I downsized to a cross body.
I purchased a beautiful brown leather Coach Crossbody (see similar here) and never looked back, so this season I want to find another just as beautiful.
Of course, I'm a Chloe Girl so when I saw the 'Small Marcie' Leather Crossbody I imagined myself pairing it with every item in my closet. But reality knocked me on my ass and as much as I love this bag $795 is rent, bills, food, basically life for me at this point. If you can make it work, congrats I envy/hate you.
If your like me, don't fret I found some amazing options for a more sensible price.
Marc Jacobs 'Washed Up - Nash' Crossbody is on sale at Nordstrom, its down to $266.66. I really enjoyed this Island Green to add an instant pop of color but it also comes in Cement.
I love this Michael Kors 'Bedford' Leather Crossbody, it comes in 4 colors and its only $188!
Last but certainly not least, TopShop has a great Embossed Suede Crossbody for ... $76!!
So, which one did you choose??
