I must admit I’m a little late to the game when it comes to Marissa Webb. I just became aware of her a couple months ago when she was announced as the new Executive Vice President of Design and Creative Director of Banana Republic and immediately starting following both her career and her instagram account. So I was not surprised when her collection came down the runway that I would be impressed.
Marissa gave us true RTW; the pieces were very wearable and attainable. She revamped everyday pieces like a white dress and redesigned it to look fresh from putting it under a long black trench to updating a basic shirtdress and adding eyelet details. From there she gave us denim on denim and cargo jackets and flowy graphic print dresses that will be a must have for the spring. Every pieces was beautifully styled and structured so it’s easy for any woman to imagine themselves wearing it to work or on a casual day around the town.
