Knit Mini the New Black

So its Monday and I have had a weekend, everyone. I mean that in a good way but it was exhausting. I had a dear friend drop in for a surprise visit, a birthday brunch, free massages and acupuncture (which is a Godsend by the way), dog sitting and I may have crashed a wedding reception this weekend ;) Needless to say by this morning I was ready to roll over and just call it, but I really wanted to get this post out. I love this look. It's not very often I wear looks like this... of the more sophisticated. I'm very low key most of the time.

This outfit makes me happy because the skirt is knit! I call it my Judi Jetson skirt because it has this crazy piping that looks a little futuristic and I just wanted to build off that with the crazy pops of color in my shoes and lipstick but still keep it down to Earth (pun intended) for the rest of the outfit with the blazer and button down. The skirt is comfortable, easy and still dressy, I suggest everyone invest in one!

Blazer: Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (similar here); Top: American Apparel; Skirt: Yigal Azrouel (love this one); Shoes: Charles by Charles David; Lipstick: MAC

I hope you all had a great weekend!
